A group of six friends approached Mara with the desire to invest collectively in Vonzeo Capital III, a “search” fund known for its strategic investments in Europe, Latin America, and North America. Owing to Mara’s technology and advice, the group was able to invest within the two-week timeframe. The use of a Mara SPV made it possible for the friends to invest as a single entity, reducing complexity and administrative burden for the lead investor.
Mara leveraged its expertise and technology platform to provide a rapid and efficient investment solution, establishing an SPV to pool the investments (which simplified the collective investment process and allowed for unified management and representation). Mara expedited KYC and AML processes, ensuring all investors met regulatory standards quickly, a critical factor in meeting the fund’s first close deadline. Mara also acted as an intermediary between the investors and Vonzeo, ensuring that all transactional and communicative aspects between all parties were handled smoothly, maintaining transparency and building trust throughout the process.
